How to Get a Free Foreclosure List and Make Money Helping People in Need
Article by Jason Loucks
Humans, by nature, are very naive. As such, many people will try to take advantage of that. Case in point: the elusive foreclosures list. ‘Sign up today and you’ll get an exclusive list of foreclosures near you!’ Someone needs to tell these people the truth. That list isn’t so exclusive. What’s more is that it’s public information. That’s right. Foreclosure lists are public record, and therefore are free if you get them from your county records office. All this time people have been unknowingly paying for these lists and feeling special because they’ve got the ‘exclusive’ list, and it’s not really that special. Getting involved in foreclosures is easy, but these real estate gurus wouldn’t make a dime if they told you that. They have to make themselves seem special, including the process that they’re promoting, so that they can make money.
If you don’t have a lot to invest, don’t sweat it. You can still invest in foreclosures by using your free foreclosure list to find deals. Once you find deals, you can choose from many different ways to invest so that you can get the deals that you want how you want them. There is no limit to the things that you can find. You’ll get a chance to see what’s available and what is worth your time and money, depending on how much you’ve got and the size of investments that you’re looking for. For example, if you’ve got ,000 cash to invest in a deal, you wouldn’t go for the 0,000 house with an ,000 second mortgage at a discount unless you really thought they’d go that low on the loan.
You need to look only at deals that are 80 cents on the dollar or less. Anything else you could buy on the market without a foreclosure stigma. The list is refreshed every month and auctions are held monthly, as well. This is important to note so that you can keep up on the foreclosure market in your area. If you’re willing to pay a little money, some websites online will offer to send you a list with daily or weekly updates right to your inbox, but it’s not something that you have to have. The monthly list will probably serve you just fine.
The list is your source of free (or cheap) leads. You will be able to see who is the most motivated based on the numbers, and market yourself to everyone in your area. This is what the foreclosure list can do for you.
